  6. Has anyone else…

Had that utterly life changing band they listened to that changed the course of their life in regards to music and otherwise. Like they remember the exact time and circumstances leading up to the first time they listened to someone’s music. They can tangibly tell you the difference it made in their lives from that point on.

For me that bad was Pink Floyd and the album was The Wall. It was 6th grade, it was an old friend, the first friend I had, I had moved away and not seen him in a year or so. We finished eating pizza with our families and he handed me two home mad cd copy’s of The Wall parts 1 and 2. He told me “listen to this at home, it’s amazing.” After I went home and listened, I never looked at music the same way. I had a much deeper interest in music that I never had before. I grew my hair out and wore band t-shirts every day, from that day everything else is history.

Had my friend never given me that album that day, I might be completely different. Who knows how I would be with out that influence in my life. Pink Floyd’s music quite literally shaped and changed my life. That is some pretty powerful shit.
